Digital Guardian is thrilled to be named a Leader in the field in the inaugural report. We’re even more excited Forrester Research recognized our “extremely exciting EDR solution,” a vital part of our data-centric approach to security that we’ve layered on top of our Data Loss Prevention technology.
Specifically Forrester called attention to our “file analytics capabilities,” which can be used to “solve one of the biggest challenges for security teams in identifying sensitive data within their environments. According to the research firm, Digital Guardian “differentiates itself by using these file analytics to help security and risk (S&R) professionals understand the sensitivity of data that has been accessed as part of detection and alerting.”
In the video clip below, Bill Bradley explains why Digital Guardian was named a leader in EDR by Forrester.
The report comes at a time in which the endpoint detection and response market continues to flourish, driven by S&R professionals looking to address their problems. According to Forrester, “vendors that can provide depth of visibility as well as detection and response position themselves to successfully deliver remediation, assurance, and certainty to their customers.”
In the report Forrester assessed 12 vendors against 20 criteria, which it went on to group into three high-level categories, current offering, strategy, and market presence.
Forrester’s evaluation process for a Wave report places vendors in one of four designations: Leaders, Strong Performers, Contenders, and Challengers – which are evaluated based on each vendor’s strengths and weaknesses in their Current Offering, Strategy and Market Presence.
This report is a valuable resource for security and risk professionals who are currently evaluating EDR vendors and would like a complete view of their capabilities and ratings, as well as an overview of the current EDR market landscape.
