Digital Guardian is pleased to share that effective today, version 7.6, the latest Data Loss Prevention (DLP) agent for macOS is generally available.
The agent helps extend the industry’s best data loss protection capabilities to Apple's newest operating system, macOS 10.15.x Catalina but also supports previous macOS versions, including 10.14 Mojave and 10.13 High Sierra.
The solution arrives as Mac usage across the enterprise continues to increase. A survey carried out this summer by Jamf, a popular management system for macOS computers and iOS devices, found that 97% of respondents claimed working on a Mac boosted their productivity; the majority surveyed (79%) said they wouldn't be able to do their work effectively without a Mac.
In many scenarios, like for a senior executive or an engineer, it's often that a company's most sensitive data - like intellectual property or source code - resides on Macs.
Digital Guardian recognizes that it’s crucial these machines get the same level of data protection as others working in an organization.
Now, armed with an enterprise DLP solution for macOS - and with it, the ability to view data events and remediate in real time or automate actions - infosec practitioners have the visibility needed to stop data loss organization-wide.
Even if security professionals oversee a diverse range of machines, Digital Guardian's cross-platform DLP can help by providing the insight needed to safeguard your organization's data, on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
